CTM’s emergency response keeps customer operations on track

When a food distribution company faced an unexpected operational disruption, they needed emergency response travel support to keep operations moving. The call came through to Corporate Travel Management (CTM): nearly 95 employees from across the country needed to be on-site and ready to work the very next day. 

Coordinating emergency response travel for almost 100 employees nationwide within hours required swift, precise planning and flawless execution. The request covered multiple services at once: 

  • Flights from cities across the U.S 
  • Last-minute hotel accommodation  
  • Arranging car rentals in three different cities 
  • Payments and processing to ensure no delays 

All arrangements had to be confirmed and ready by morning, giving the CTM team less than 24 hours to ‘deliver’, a core value for CTM.  

CTM immediately went into action. Leveraging our global network, technology, and supplier partnerships, they coordinated every detail, ensuring each employee was transported to the location without disruption.  

Four hotels were secured in the area to accommodate the employees; however, securing hire cars proved to be more challenging. When CTM could not secure the number of vehicles needed for the desired airport location, alternative arrangements were made to fly employees into either Newark or Philadelphia airport, where additional cars could be booked. By the following day, the customer’s workforce was fully in place, ensuring business continuity despite the unexpected challenge. 

Just two days later, the situation shifted again. The disruption to the operation was resolved, requiring another rapid response. This time, CTM needed to rebook travel and return every employee home quickly and seamlessly. 

Thanks to fast action, proactive problem-solving, and around-the-clock support, the customer avoided significant operational disruption. Their feedback says it all:
