Qantas introduces unlimited fee-free date changes
Book an eligible Qantas flight by 30 April 2021, and enjoy added flexibility with unlimited fee-free date changes and the option to change the date of your travel as often as you need. Virgin opens brand new Adelaide lounge
On Tuesday 23 February, Virgin Australia unveiled its brand-new Adelaide Airport Lounge, featuring a contemporary and open design that will become the basis for all future domestic lounge refurbishments. With seating for 283 passengers, the Adelaide Lounge offers distinct dining areas including The Coffee Bar central café, and The Cellar Door Hub for seasonal wine tasting.
Air New Zealand to trial digital Travel Pass
In an effort to streamline the health verification process for travel, Air New Zealand will soon trial a digital Travel Pass app, developed by International Air Transport Association (IATA). The app will allow passengers to create a digital health wallet linked to their e-passport, which will receive health data such as COVID-19 vaccination information and test results, directly from the lab. The technology will be tested on the airline’s Auckland-Sydney route in April. Read more.
Virgin extends Fly Flexible offer
Virgin Australia has extended their Flexible Flying policy, allowing unlimited changes and no change fees for travel up to 31 January 2022 when you book by 30 April 2021. Contact your dedicated Corporate Travel Management (CTM) consultant for more information.
Qantas and American Airlines to renew joint operations
A draft determination of the Qantas and American Airlines Joint Business Agreement has been proposed by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), meaning the two airlines could extend their agreement for another five years. The extension could result in greater connectivity and, likely, increased capacity for existing and new routes. There is also a possibility of loyalty program benefits and improved lounge access.
Qantas expands regional network
Seven new routes across New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria have been announced by Qantas, in response to increased demand for regional connections. Launching in March, the routes include Sydney – Griffith, Melbourne – Newcastle, Melbourne – Merimbula, Melbourne – Mount Gambier, Melbourne – Wagga Wagga, Melbourne – Albury and Adelaide – Mount Gambier. Accor Plus program offers fast-tracked upgrades
Accor Plus members who stay at Accor hotels between 15 February and 31 August 2021, will be eligible for a fast-tracked membership upgrade, within the hotel’s Accor Live Limitless (ALL) scheme. Accor Plus members with ALL Silver status (the default for all Accor Plus members), will be able to reach ALL Gold status and ALL Platinum status after just 10 nights and 18 nights respectively. ALL Gold Status members will reach ALL Platinum status after just 18 nights. Members can enrol for the offer via the Accor website.

Car rental company, Hertz, is now allowing customers to sign rental agreements via a smartphone or tablet, to improve health and safety when hiring a vehicle.
