2025 Community Impact: Reflecting on CTM's Partnerships

Corporate Travel Management (CTM) is committed to cultivating a national culture of equality, equity, and shared understanding. Throughout 2025, this commitment has deepened, with a focus on enhancing grassroots sporting athletes, helping vulnerable Australians access safe and secure housing, and continuing our work with our Indigenous partnerships across the country.

In this blog, we reflect on CTM’s partnerships throughout 2025, their impact, and our role in driving positive change.

Lady Musgrave Trust – Providing safe housing for women and children in need

Lady Musgrave FoundationIn 2025, CTM continued our $100,000 annual sponsorship investment in Queensland’s oldest charity, the Lady Musgrave Trust (LMT). Acknowledging 140 years of service, LMT had one of their busiest years in history, representing a bittersweet reality – more people in need, but thankfully, more support made available.

LMT’s CEO, Victoria Parker, puts this into words: “In a year marked by rising need, the unwavering and long-standing support of partners like CTM has not only enabled The Lady Musgrave Trust to reach more women and children than ever before, but has also set a powerful example for others. CTM’s leadership as a catalyst for meaningful change has paved the way for more corporate partners to join us, amplifying our capacity to deliver hope and safety for Queensland’s most vulnerable families.”

Highlighting the importance of the partnership, CTM’s Global Head of Sustainability, Lauren Hook, commented: “Our CTM team are fully invested in the work that Lady Musgrave Trust do. Our team members have volunteered their time for working bees at the Jinndii Waijung Logan housing project, packing hampers for families in need this Xmas, and fundraising through gift-wrapping stations. With homelessness on the rise in Australia, our people see the value that this partnership brings to our community and we’re proud to be continuing this in 2026.”

Brisbane Lions Academy – Developing our next generation of Premiership winners!

AFLW Lions TeamFollowing back-to-back Premiership wins, CTM’s partnership with the Brisbane Lions Training Academy is harnessing the best up-and-coming talent, supporting their growth and development to continue the club’s inspiring trajectory.

Lions’ Head of Academy, Dayne Frew, shared “Having such great partners like CTM allows us to invest in extra resources to put back into our programs at local level to assist in the development of our Academy members. We have seen the quality of our program increase year after year thanks to partnerships like this”

Entering a fourth year of sponsorship, CTM’s Founder and Managing Director, Jamie Pherous, shared: “Seeing a number of Academy graduates become Premiership winning players proves the importance of investing in programs like the Brisbane Lions Academy.

Attracting and developing talent is a something we value deeply at CTM. As a Brisbane-founded global company, we’re proud to support our local AFL club to achieve the same results for their team.”

John Briggs Consultancy – Facilitating culturally safe working environments

This year also saw the introduction of Cultural Awareness Training at CTM, facilitated by John Briggs at John Briggs Consultancy. The sessions ran throughout the year with 170 CTM Australia staff members choosing to attend. Feedback from staff members was unanimously positive:

“I thought I knew a decent amount about the history of this country and the struggles Indigenous peoples faced (both past and present), but the session really opened my eyes to how little information is actually taught in our schools and is readily available. It has inspired me to do my own research to further my knowledge and cultural awareness.”

– Emma Lennon, Operations Team Manager

“John Briggs approach was so refreshing. Unfortunately, our education system never provided me with any background knowledge of amazing First Nations Australians like David Unaipon or the reasons for “Welcome to Country”. I’m sure if more Australians were educated at school and aware of these reasons, we would have less division and more acceptance to our unique First Nations culture”

– John Balloch, Chief Partnership Officer Asia Pacific

In 2025 CTM continued our investment in First Nations initiatives including, NRL Cowboys House, Yalari and The Moorditj Yorga Scholarship Program.

As we look ahead at 2026, CTM is excited to see these partnerships continue, and watch the impact they have grow and evolve over time.
