Objective

As part of the implementation with a global leader in diversified wound care and regenerative medicine, CTM identified an opportunity to streamline a highly labour-intensive human resource (HR) data feed process.

Previously, the client was required to manually clean traveller profiles after each download. After evaluating best practices, CTM recommended consolidating three separate HR data feeds into a single, fully automated weekly process.

This allowed CTM to upload accurate data directly into Concur Travel to manage traveller profiles, new hires, terminations, approval workflows, and deliver reliable travel management reporting.

Solutions

CTM’s Operations Director and Global Account Manager collaborated closely with the customer and key departmental stakeholders to review the existing process, uncovering dependencies and opportunities for improvement.

Together, they identified best practices, including using a consistently formatted employee ID as the unique identifier across all data feeds and removing email addresses previously used for duplicate name reconciliation.

The objective was to implement a streamlined, automated HR data feed process that removed the need for manual profile clean-up.

Outcome

CTM’s strategy enabled the client to download over 4,000 terminated employee profiles ahead of go-live, eliminating all manual processes previously required for data maintenance and profile reconciliation across MIS and accounts.

The automated process now flags unused, non-refundable tickets for timely name changes, creates profiles for new hires, and routes approvals to the correct manager based on built-in hierarchy, ensuring accurate travel reporting across cost centres and departments.

This refined approach is estimated to have saved the customer an additional 2% on gross air sales and reduced manual data handling by 12 hours each month.
