CTM announces partnership with John Briggs Consultancy to advance reconciliation efforts

Corporate Travel Management (CTM) has partnered with the specialist Indigenous consulting firm, John Briggs Consultancy, to support initiatives laid out in CTM’s newly released “Innovate” Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

As the appointed First Nations Advisory, John Briggs Consultancy will support CTM’s leadership team and hiring staff with cultural awareness training, professional development forums and workshop facilitation; providing a safe environment for colleagues to learn together and strengthen CTM’s inclusion and diversity of First Nations peoples and businesses.

“We are excited to join CTM on their reconciliation journey. We are proud to be partnering with and assisting CTM to demonstrate the economic and social benefits of reconciliation in Australia. Reconciliation enhances social cohesion. It is magnificent to see this commitment from CTM under their Innovate RAP.” John Briggs of John Briggs Consultancy.

Championing the Australian business’ reconciliation efforts as the Chair of CTM’s RAP Working Group is CTM’s CEO, Greg McCarthy. “For many years I’ve been involved in the journey CTM has taken to develop and strengthen our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our new Innovate RAP is a reflection of our commitment to continue this journey today and into the future, and, with the guidance of John Briggs Consultancy, I’m confident we’ll make significant progress on our way.”

CTM’s partnership with John Briggs Consultancy will provide a First Nations voice that will help to ensure CTM’s Innovate RAP implements changes that are respectful and meaningful to achieve its vision. CTM’s Head of People ANZ, Nicole Galliford, elaborates: “We have implemented sophisticated and regular ‘pulse checks’ at CTM to ensure we are continually providing an inclusive workplace for our team members from all backgrounds.

“We are lucky to have a diverse workforce in Australia and New Zealand and equipping our leaders with the right tools to have meaningful conversations, and to celebrate Australia’s Indigenous heritage, is an important part of advancing reconciliation.”
